Access to ASCC Position Statements 

ASCC has published 43 one-page papers that cover topics such as “Moisture-Sensitive Floor Coverings on Concrete Slabs,” “Birdbaths,” “Tolerances,” and “Trowel Marks.”

These Position Statements are written for architects, owners, engineers and others who need to understand constructability issues. There are also eight Position Statements on decorative concrete topics and three on polished concrete. Learn more about ASCC Position statements and view previews.

Access to a Contractor E-mail Forum

Contractors submit and answer business and technical questions via e-mail. These resources provide invaluable advice from industry peers on everything from curling to sealers to time sheets and vehicle use.

Members also receive access to a members-only, web-based Email Forum Archive containing all past Q&A from the Forum for easy reference.

The ASCC Troubleshooting Newsletter

Questions and answers from the Technical Hotline are compiled in the ASCC Troubleshooting Newsletter.

If one contractor is having a problem, chances are that others have to deal with that same problem eventually. This resource is available FREE to members. Full sets of the troubleshooting newsletter are available to members at a discount. (Currently, this set contains 38 newsletters).

Opportunities to Participate in the ASCC Mentoring Program 

The ASCC Mentoring Program unites seasoned concrete construction professionals with members of lesser experience in a guided program to share knowledge and experience.

Mentees can be any ASCC member seeking to augment their general knowledge of concrete contracting or looking for guidance in any area of business management. Learn more about the mentoring program.

The Mentor Advisory Board

The ASCC Member Advisory Board is a group of hand-selected contractors who provide advice to members who don’t have the need for a full-time mentor but could use the experience and counsel of a seasoned counterpart.

Decorative Concrete Council

The board of this associate member Council advises the ASCC on how the organization can provide the best value to its vendor members. The MAC has a strong voice in all sponsorship decisions that directly affect these companies.

Safety & Risk Management Council

This Council educates and provides materials to contractors on all aspects of safety relating to concrete contracting and insurance matters.
