Making Concrete Construction More Safe

The Safety & Risk Management Council is dedicated to making ASCC members the safest contractors in the industry. Council members share their expertise and experience in the field of concrete construction and concrete engineering to educate and train ASCC contractors in all aspects of safety. From establishing a safety policy to the proper use of personal protective equipment, the Safety & Risk Management Council provides invaluable resources to members of the ASCC.

A Safety Hotline provides ASCC members’ information and advice from experienced concrete safety professionals within the industry. Articles, publications and position statements inform and educate members on topics relating to concrete contracting and insurance matters. Council members oversee ASCC and DCC demonstrations and are committed to helping contractors develop and maintain safety as a core value.

Near Miss Sample Reports - A Near Miss is an unplanned event that did not result in injury, illness or damage - but had the potential to do so.  Only a fortunate break in the chain of events prevented a serious incident.  Having a Near Miss program may help your Company prevent incidents in the future.  Recognizing and reporting Near Misses can significantly improve worker safety and enhance an organization's safety culture.  The sample forms are provided by the ASCC Safety & Risk Management Council to help you start a Near Miss program or enhance a program already in place.
